The Mouseion
The Mouseion is the Grid’s museum of world art, under Emblem Court by the Wheel. Go in through the glass emblem and ride the escalator down to the Hall; from there the galleries run from ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome through the Renaissance and the Impressionists, and on the floor below to Japan, China, South Asia, the Islamic world, Africa, Oceania and the ancient Americas.
Every work is a real piece, out of copyright everywhere, shown from the open collection of the museum that holds it. The rooms rehang every month, The Season’s hall has a new exhibition each month, and the Room of Icons shows twelve world masterpieces, a different twelve each quarter.
