The TMS affiliate program pays approved members of The Multimedia Studio a share of what TMS keeps when people they refer pay for things in the Grid and on TMS — rent, ads, tickets, courses and creative work — for 12 months after each referred account is approved. It is free to join; members must be 18 or older.

Referred accounts that sign up in the program’s first 90 days earn the launch rate for their full 12 months. “What TMS keeps” is the payment less sales tax, card fees, refunds and whatever goes on to a creative, a screen renter or a professor.
What never earns
Brand stores in the Grid (their purchases happen on the brand’s own site)
Griddles food orders (paid to the restaurant)
Store products bought through a renter’s own Square or website
Free passes, gifts, welcome offers and anything else nobody paid for
Sales tax, card fees and refunded or disputed payments
Your own purchases, and accounts that are yours
Getting paid
Each commission waits 30 days for refunds and disputes, then is paid in the next monthly payout to your Stripe account once you’re owed US$50.00 or more. Affiliates can live in Canada (outside Quebec, for now), the United States, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein or a country of the European Union.
The rules
Say you earn a commission every time you share a link, right beside it.
Share with your own audience; never message people who didn’t ask.
Never promise money or results; no reviews you don’t say you’re paid for.
One level only: nobody earns for bringing in other affiliates.
Questions people ask
What is the TMS affiliate program?
The TMS affiliate program pays approved members of The Multimedia Studio a share of what TMS keeps when people they refer pay for things in the Grid and on TMS — rent, ads, tickets, courses and creative work — for 12 months after each referred account is approved. It is free to join; members must be 18 or older.
Who can join?
Anyone with an approved TMS account — a creative, a client, an explorer of the Grid or a UniverseT student or professor — who is 18 or older and lives in Canada (outside Quebec, for now), the United States, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein or a country of the European Union. You verify your identity with Stripe, set up a Stripe payouts account and agree to the affiliate agreement; then TMS reviews your application. Guests can’t join.
How much can I earn?
A share of what TMS keeps on each payment a referred account makes: 20% on TMS’s own things like rent and ads, 25% of TMS’s fee on creative work and tickets (50% on a client’s first brief), and 10% of TMS’s fee on what a referred creative earns. What you earn depends entirely on who you refer and what they buy; TMS promises no amount.
How long do I earn from someone I refer?
For 12 months from the day their account is approved. Only new accounts count: someone who already had an account can’t be referred.
When and how am I paid?
Each commission waits 30 days after the payment (for refunds and disputes), then is paid in the next monthly payout to your Stripe payouts account, once you are owed at least US$50.00. Smaller amounts roll over to the next month.
Can I choose my own link?
Yes. You name your links yourself — app.multimedia.studio/r/your-name — and choose the page each one opens, up to 10 links. Names must be clean: nothing obscene, nothing that sounds like TMS speaking and no partner brand’s name.
What do I have to say when I share a link?
That you earn a commission, every time, right beside the link — for example “I earn a commission if you sign up through my link.” Advertising law requires it in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe. On a website, mark the link rel="sponsored".
Can I refer myself or my own accounts?
No. Your own purchases and accounts that are yours never earn, and TMS holds referrals that look like your own until it has checked them.
Is there a fee to join?
No. Joining is free, and you never earn anything for bringing in other affiliates — only for what referred accounts pay for.
Which countries can affiliates live in?
Canada (outside Quebec, for now), the United States, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein or a country of the European Union — everywhere Stripe can send TMS’s payouts. The people you refer can be anywhere.
