The Gallery House, on the north side of Emblem Court, rents its halls by the week. Upload your works, arrange them in a copy of your hall, and your show opens to everyone walking the Grid.
Project Room (2) — C$40 a week, up to 12 works, about 33 m of wall, 125 m².
Gallery (2) — C$75 a week, up to 24 works, about 33 m of wall, 125 m².
Grand Hall — C$150 a week, up to 40 works, about 64 m of wall, 331 m².
Four layouts, or your own
White Cube — One line of works at eye height with generous space between them: the contemporary gallery look, best for paintings and photographs.
Salon — Frames hung edge to edge, floor to cornice, as in a nineteenth-century Paris Salon: for many smaller works, prints and drawings.
Plinths & Walls — Plinths and vitrines down the middle for objects, sculpture and ceramics, with pictures on the walls around them.
Black Box — A dark room, spotlights and screens: for video, photography and anything that needs the lights low.
Build your own — An empty hall: you hang each work yourself in the hall planner — which wall, how high, how big, the frame, plinths for objects.
How it works
Pick a hall, the first day and how many weeks. A booking holds the dates for 30 minutes while you pay.
Upload your works with their titles, and pick a layout — or start from an empty hall.
Open the hall planner: walk round a copy of your hall and arrange the works. The team checks each work; want something special? Write to them from your booking.
Keep the show free or charge entry, and put pieces up for sale if you like.
On the first day the hall opens: its door, its lights and your works, for everyone in the Grid.
Questions people ask
Who can rent a hall?
Anyone with a TMS or Grid account in good standing: creatives, clients and explorers.
How long can a show run?
From 1 to 12 weeks, booked up to six months ahead. 4 weeks or more costs 10% less.
What can I show?
Your own work, or work you have the right to show: paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, digital art, and photographs of sculpture or objects. Every work is checked by the team before the show opens.
Can I arrange the hall myself?
Yes. Your booking comes with the hall planner: a copy of your hall you walk round before the show opens, where you put every work where you want it — which wall, how high, how big, the frame, plinths for objects. Start from one of the four layouts or from an empty hall. What you arrange there is how the show opens.
Can I ask for a special look?
Yes. Write to the team from your booking: it opens a conversation with them, and they can set up the hall the way you describe.
Can I sell the works in my show?
Yes. Put any work up for sale — the original, an edition of prints, or a digital piece buyers download. Visitors buy it from the work in the hall or its page; they pay by card and the money goes straight to your Stripe payout account, less the Grid’s 10% of the price. You post physical pieces yourself: the Grid never handles them.
What happens when no show is on?
The hall stays closed, its door shut and its lights off, until the next show.
Can I charge entry to my show?
Yes, if you want to. Set a price in your own currency and visitors buy one ticket each, good until the show closes. They pay by card and the money goes straight to your Stripe payout account, less the Grid’s 20%. Or keep it free.
